FOR AGENCIES AND STUDIOS

The work you pitched and lost is worth as much as the work you won

Pitch decks, strategy documents, creative rounds, client feedback and the internal debate about which direction to take. An agency's archive is a decade of documented creative judgement.

WHAT ABOUT CLIENT WORK

The contracts question, answered before anything moves

  1. 01

    Scope is set first

Six questions establish what exists. Nothing is shared and no system is touched at this point.

  2. 02

    Your obligations set the boundary

Work you are not free to license stays out of scope. That boundary is agreed before anything is signed.

  3. 03

    Anonymized in preparation

Identifying fields, including client identities, are stripped as part of preparing the data.

  4. 04

    Paid on completion

Typically $100K to $2M, Net 30 to 60, once the data has been approved, shared, and anonymized.

WHY AGENCY ARCHIVES RATE WELL

Creative work is iterative, and the iterations survive

  • Rounds preserve the path. Version three exists because version two was rejected, and usually someone wrote down why.
  • Client feedback is unusually direct. It records a real reaction to real work, not a summary of one.
  • Strategy documents make the argument explicit before any execution happens, which is exactly the scarce material.
  • Breadth of industries. An agency has reasoned about dozens of businesses, not only its own.
